… Not really, but that’s what you can call me.
What can I tell you about me?
I’m a 33-year-old female. I identify as a Christian, but I’m a fairly liberal one as far as today’s beliefs and politics go. (Please, don’t tell my grandfather.) I live in New England, in the States. I’m married, but don’t have kids. (I’m sure I’ll blog about the emotional issues I have with that at some point.) I drink both tea and coffee, but prefer tea. I have major depressive disorder, but I’m in therapy and getting better as time goes on. I don’t have cats or dogs, but I have an ivy that sits here on my desk. I call her Ivy. (Yes, of course I talk to my plants. Do you not?) I know it’s not creative, but it seemed an apt name.
What is this blog going to be about? For now, whatever I feel like writing. It may be about my day, an issue I’m dealing with personally, or maybe something I saw that just made me want to write or spew my unasked-for opinion somewhere.
My goals are to use these posts as an exercise to improve my writing skills, and explore the possibility of figuring out who I am.
That’s right, I have no idea who I am at 33 years old. Therapy is helping me figure it out. My own EQ is helping me figure it out. Reading a lot of books is helping me figure it out. Lastly, this blog… maybe this will help.
Or maybe I’ll just be another random chick on the internet, prattling on about nothing of interest. We’ll see, won’t we?
